A nagy lisztbogár (Tenebrio molitor) lárvája gyakorlatilag minden keleti kereskedésben megtalálható. A lárva kemény kitinváza miatt nehezen emészthető. A lisztbogár nagy zsír és kis proteintartalommal rendelkezik.
